MODI: Soft Matter, Organization, Dynamics and Interfaces

The MODI team (Soft Matter, Organization, Dynamics and Interfaces) is interested in the structure and dynamics of soft matter and liquids at interfaces, using multi-scale experimental approaches.

A particular effort is devoted to the development of original instrumental techniques as well as to the synthesis of new functional physicochemical systems. Examples are nano-rheology measurements with a dynamic Surface Force Apparatus, the implementation of innovative sample environments for X-ray or neutron scattering measurements, or the synthesis of biomimetic systems of the vascular wall.

The topics covered are related to fundamental questions in physics and to applications in the fields of energy, materials and biotechnologies.
