Machine Shop

It is at the service of the laboratory, but also works for more than fifty laboratories of the CNRS, UGA, CEA, ILL, ESRF, and start-ups resulting from the research.

The strengths of the platform are:

• Availability and interaction between applicants and mechanics
• Knowledge and know-how in many fields.
• Machining of very diverse materials.

Depending on the case :

The applicant has questions about how to get his result, he can drop by the workshop to discuss it with the staff and find a simple solution.

The applicant has a detailed and dimensioned drawing(s) (made on software or by hand), he can bring it (them) to the workshop for the manufacturing of the parts, he can also send it (them) by mail in PDF format. For some jobs we ask for a DXF file, to facilitate the programming of the numerical control machines.

In all cases, an estimate will be made and the deadline will be specified.
The hourly rate is 15 € HT for external laboratories.
