Dynamics of Complex Systems

The DYSCO Federative Research Structure is an association of teams from different interdisciplinary laboratories covering a broad but coherent range of themes. It was set up in 2003 as a PPF (Plan Pluri Formation) and became a FSR (Structure Fédérative de Recherche) in 2012. DYSCO has been the source of numerous interactions between laboratories, resulting in a number of joint publications and theses.

DYSCO main themes :

Fluides vivants, matière active, motilité cellulaire, sang/endothélium, suspensions passives et actives, systèmes biomimétiques, systèmes complexes, calcul scientifique haute performance.

Scientific activities :

  • Grenoble Annual Interlaboratory Meeting

They take place every year for one and a half days outside Grenoble to encourage contacts between participants. A main theme is selected each year, with local, national and international guests, and short presentations on DYSCO's main themes, with a balance between laboratories and themes.

  • Dysco seminars, Grenoble Monthly Interlaboratory Seminar

The "dynamics of complex systems" seminar is a forum for exchange within the DYSCO Federative Research Structure (an evolution of the eponymous PPF) and focuses on topical problems relating to the above-mentioned key themes. The seminar takes place in the partner laboratories.
