Interaction, Disorder, Elasticity

The mission of the Interaction, Disorder, Elasticity (IDE) research group is to lead collaborations whose common point is the study of phenomena where heterogeneities play an essential role - both at the theoretical and experimental level - and well described by the framework of disordered elastic systems. The goal of the GDR is to promote exchanges between communities working on systems of very different nature or scale, although described in the same framework; this, in order to pool their expertise on open questions and to initiate new research topics.
