Blue energy from the difference in salinity between fresh river water and salt ocean water is an avenue to explore for the energy transition thanks to the contributions of fundamental research on nanomaterials.

Discover on the CNRS blog "An ocean of discoveries" how research in nanofluidics is making these future technologies possible. At the heart of this research, and of this article, are the teams of Lydéric Bocquet from LPENS and Cyril Picard from the MODI team of LIPhy and the startup Sweetch Energy.
