Misaki Ozawa in the PSM team at LIPhy received a junior chair from Multidisciplinary Institute in Artificial Intelligence (MIAI), including a funding for a three-year postdoc.
He conducts interdisciplinary studies between statistical physics and machine learning. In particular, he is developing an unsupervised learning method to estimate the entropy of non-equilibrium systems, based on renormalization group ideas. As a junior chair, he will play a role in connecting physics and machine learning groups in the Grenoble area.
