Optical imaging through multimode fibres - Emmanuel Bossy (OPTIMA, LIPhy)

This internal seminar will discuss some examples of optical imaging through multimode fibres. I will first introduce the challenges and motivations of imaging through multimode fibres, and then discuss in more details two very different approaches that we investigate here at the LIPhy. In one approach, we first characterize/calibrate in detail how coherent light propagates through the fibre, and then use this prior knowledge to perform imaging with known structured illumination patterns (typically either focused beams or speckle patterns). In the other approach, we aim at imaging through the fiber with no (or very little) information on how light propagates through the fibre.
