Bubbles in a liquid are formidable acoustic resonators, combining the compressibility of gas and the density of water. To overcome their limitations in terms of stability (buoyancy, dissolution) and shape (spherical), we fabricate and study the acoustic properties of bubbles in cages of various shapes, with a view to designing original acoustic sensors or metamaterials.
